Jet Asia Airways (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has entered the longhaul market with the recent launch of a 2x weekly Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Jeddah International, Saudi Arabia, service. The route operates on-board a B767-300(ER) and joins the Thai carrier's other scheduled destinations which include Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta and Tokyo Narita.

"We are delighted to launch these new scheduled services from our Bangkok hub to Jakarta and Jeddah, this is an integral part of our migration to a Full Service airline including improved access to Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and a proprietary Online Booking Engine allowing passengers to purchase tickets online on Jet Asia," Jacob Saba, President and CEO of Jet Asia, said.

The leisure carrier operates a fleet of four B767-200(ER)s and one B767-300(ER).
