easyJet (London Luton) has finally launched three times weekly B737-700 service from London Luton to Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen on August 1, it will operate daily from September. The launch of the route had been delayed earlier because easyJet did not get traffic rights for the route in time for the planned launch. In other news, Saudi Arabian charter carrier National Air Services (Jeddah) has expressed its interest in using the easyJet brand as a franchisee in the Middle East. NAS is planning to launch a low-cost carrier later this or early next year.
