DC Aviation (DCS, Stuttgart Manfred Rommel) has announced that its Dubai-based subsidiary, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCU, Dubai World Central), has secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
Certification complete, the start-up can now operate and manage third-party business jets commercially which includes aircraft charters under the UAE’s A6 registration. As such, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim will begin its commercial operations with a Bombardier Aerospace Global XRS corporate jet.
“We are extremely pleased to have cleared all the regulatory requirements to receive our AOC. The receipt of the certification culminates over a year’s work and I would like to congratulate and thank the entire team for their efforts,” Holger Ostheimer, General Manager at DCAF, said.
DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF) is a joint venture between Stuttgart-based DC Aviation GmbH, the largest operator of business jets in Germany, and Dubai-based Al-Futtaim, a privately-owned UAE business conglomerate.
