City Airways (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China's ICBC Financial Leasing Co for the lease of ten C919 and ten ARJ21-700s. Announced during the ongoing Beijing Aviation Expo 2015, six of the aircraft are sourced from ICBC's order book with COMAC (Shanghai Pudong) with the rest new orders. Neither the deal's financial terms nor delivery dates were revealed.
The Thai carrier currently operates a fleet of two leased B737-400s on charter as well as scheduled flights to Hong Kong International from Bangkok Don Mueang and Phuket in Thailand.
