Falcon Aviation Services (FVS, Abu Dhabi Bateen) has begun scheduled passenger operations with 3x daily flights from Abu Dhabi Bateen to and from Das Island and Zirku Island, the main industrial bases for the emirate's Upper Zakum, Umm al Dalkh and Satah fields.
The flights are operated on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) using Dash 8-400 turboprops.
“This is a momentous achievement for Falcon as we had a short time frame in which to set up and deliver this service," Captain Ramandeep Oberoi, Chief Operating Officer, Falcon Aviation Services said. "However, with the help and cooperation of Abu Dhabi Airports, we are able to support the oil and gas sector by using our two Dash 8 Q400’s to transport 400 passengers daily to their work.”
Prior to this contract, Falcon Air Services had specialized in corporate jet and helicopter services.
