The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has approved Dalian Airlines' application to expand its business scope to include scheduled international passenger operations.
Having served Chinese destinations exclusively since its launch in 2010, the Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) subsidiary is now authorized to serve nearby Asian countries, including Japan and South Korea.
Dalian Airlines currently operates nine B737-800s with a further two due this year.
