The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) has given its approval to the establishment of Asian Blue Aviation (Yangon), a 49/51 joint venture between Japan's ANA Holdings and Myanmar's Golden Sky World.
Local media reports indicate the start-up will focus on regional and international operations.
As previously reported, this is ANA's second attempt at a Myanma carrier after its original Asian Wings Airways (Yangon) investment plan failed to gain traction in the domestic sector back in 2013/14.
