Instantair (Amsterdam Schiphol) is a Dutch carrier planning to begin offering regional European flights using a subscription-based business model during the second half of this year.
Founders Yannick and Alexander Janssens state their airline will operate 8- to 18-seater turboprop aircraft initially. While it will focus on Europe's financial hubs, it will seek to avoid the congestion of larger facilities and instead focus on serving General Aviation airfields. Among the examples cited are: London Biggin Hill; Amsterdam Schiphol Schiphol East's new GA terminal; Paris Le Bourget; and Egelsbach (to serve Frankfurt).
It is uncertain if Instantair's flight operations will be taken in-house or outsourced to a third party operator.
Other pan-European subscription-based start-ups that have announced plans to commence operations (or have already done so) include: RISE Europe (London City); Go! Aviation (Finland) (Helsinki Vantaa) and Take Air (Antwerp).
