Go! Aviation (Finland) (Helsinki Vantaa) is a subscription-based start-up which recently secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) and Air Services Licence (ASL) from the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (TRAFI).
Using a fleet of four to six PC-12s, Go! Aviation plans to launch operations later this spring with its first flights to operate from the Finnish airports of Kuopio and Helsinki Vantaa, to Tallinn Lennart Meri in Estonia. By 2025, Go! Aviation aims to operate over fifty aircraft with operations spreading deep into Central Europe.
Funding to ensure the launch operations has already been secured with a second round likely to be launched later in the year.
"We are now actively seeking an additional round of funding from selected partners in the European financial market to make our rapid expansion possible. Finding the right partners will help ensure our position as the leading European operator in our segment," company co-Founder and CEO Jorma Kario said. "Europe needs our services, and the demand is already overwhelming."
Other subscription-based start-ups in Europe include: Take Air (Antwerp) in Belgium and the UK-based RISE Europe (London City). US-based Wheels Up (WUP, Teterboro) has also expressed an interest in setting up its own European unit.
