AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines (J2, Baku Heydar Aliev International) is planning to develop a dedicated low-cost carrier next year airline Vice President, Eldar Hajiyev, has announced.
According to Rusaviainsider, the carrier is expected to start operations in autumn 2017 with an initial fleet of seven aircraft.
At present, the Azeri national carrier offers budget flights using its AZALJET (Baku Heydar Aliev International) virtual carrier. Services to Russia are carried out using aircraft chartered from its AZAL parent.
