Roraima Airways (ROR, Georgetown Ogle) is planning to establish a pan-Caribbean hub out of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines later this year.
Airline president and CEO, Gerald Gouveia, said in a recorded statement that the Guyanese carrier would make use of new Argyle International Airport, located on the main island of Saint Vincent, which is scheduled to open to commercial traffic early next month.
Gouveia did not specify any timelines or particular destinations that would be served, noting only that Roraima Airways enjoys warm relations with the Vincentian government.
Roraima Airways currently operates charter flights throughout Guyana and the surrounding region using BN-2 and Trislander turboprops. It also has a contract with FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) to ferry cargo from Port of Spain, Trinidad to Guyana 3x weekly.
