LAW - Latin American Wings (Santiago de Chile) will make its domestic Chilean debut later this quarter airline general manager Andres Dulcinelli has announced.
Speaking to the DesDeSCL aviation blog, Dulcinelli said LAW's first local route - Santiago de Chile-Concepcion Carriel Sur - would launch on March 13 with a 2x daily return service (weekdays only) with a single service on Sundays.
Prior to it having obtained its own Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) early this year, LAW had wet-leased a B737-300 from Chilejet (Santiago de Chile) for routes to Punta Cana and La Romana International in the Dominican Republic, Lima International in Peru, and Port au Prince in Haiti.
Dulcinelli said that with LAW now able to operate aircraft under its own certificate, the carrier would now boost its fleet with the addition of more B737-300s. The added capacity, he said, would also facilitate the opening of more routes which may include Balmaceda, Puerto Montt International, Buenos Aires, Mendoza International, Montevideo Carrasco, São Paulo Guarulhos, and Miami International.
