Lessor GECAS has moved to recover its property from Air Costa (Vijayawada) with the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) having struck off two of its three E190s from the Indian registry.

Air Costa suspended operations on Tuesday, February 28, citing unspecified “financial issues” with GECAS. A subsequent March 15 relaunch date later lapsed with Indian media agency PTI now stating that up to forty of the carrier's pilots have since resigned from their posts.
