Hong Kong Air Cargo (RH, Hong Kong International) has secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (CAD) following a ceremony last week.

The start-up said in a statement it will deploy a fleet of B747 or B777-F freighters over the next five years. The aircraft will be used to develop regional Asian services to Japan and India as well as long-haul routes to Europe and America. The flights will eventually be supplemented with a comprehensive sea, land, and air logistics transportation system.

Given their symbiotic relationship, it is believed Hong Kong Air Cargo will eventually assume the five A330-200F freighters parent carrier Hong Kong Airlines (HX, Hong Kong International) currently operates.
