XL Airways UK (London Gatwick) has filed for bankruptcy on September 12 and has suspended all operations when the entire XL Leisure Group collapsed. It had operated scheduled and charter services, mainly to destinations in Southern Europe and the Caribbean. Its sister carriers XL Airways France (SE/Paris CDG) and XL Airways Germany (G1/Frankfurt Intl) continue to operate as usual.
