SkyBus Cargo Charters (HV, Lima International) has announced plans to begin commercial flights to the United States using its DC-8-73 freighter.
The Peruvian cargo specialist said in its application for a foreign air carrier permit to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) that it would initially operate ad-hoc charters to and from the United States. No dates or tentative routes were disclosed.
Operational since November 2016, SkyBus operates a single DC-8-73(F), OB-2059P (msn 45990), which it leases from SkyBus Jet Cargo Inc. of Beverly Hills, CA.
