Northern Territory Air Services (Alice Springs) is set to enter the scheduled services sector Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Accountable Manager, Ian Scheyer, has said.
In a statement, Scheyer told ch-aviation the move came after NTAS's capacity provider, AvCharter (Alice Springs), saw its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) upgraded to allow for Regular Public Transport (RPT) flights. He did not disclose if and when NTAS would bid for any RTP routes.
NTAS currently offers two Cessna (twin piston) 402Cs for use on air charter and scenic flights around Northern Australia.
