FAI Rent-A-Jet (IFA, Nuremberg) has announced it is on course to replace all of its existing Learjets variants with Learjet 60s by mid-2018. In a statement, it confirmed it has now retired a penultimate Bombardier Aerospace Learjet 55, D-CAAE (msn 55-095), from its fleet and replaced it with an eleventh Learjet 60, D-CFAL (msn 60-203).
Earlier this year, the German business charter specialist retired its last Learjet 35 and replaced it with another Learjet 60.
With a fleet of eleven Learjet 60s, FAI Rent-A-Jet is the largest operator of this type globally. In addition to the Learjet 60s and one remaining Learjet 55, the carrier also operates four Global Express, five Challenger aircraft, one Premier I and a sole turboprop, a Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 350. By mid-2018 FAI Rent-A-Jet will also add a maiden 29-seater A319CJ which currently is undergoing a cabin upgrade.
