Türkmenair (Istanbul Atatürk) has rebranded itself as JetGlobe (Istanbul Atatürk) in an effort to better reflect its global positioning. Founded in 2008, JetGlobe was taken over by Bilen Air Services in December 2015. Since then, the Turkey-based business aviation specialist has increased its fleet from one aircraft to six, while introducing global jet management services to its portfolio.
"We decided to change our brand due to the significant increase in the presence of our business globally," Bilen's corporate business director Ayca Kocabas told European Business Air News. "This is an exciting time for us. The name JetGlobe is more dynamic and all of the team is aiming to develop our services for new and existing customers. It has been a welcome new year present for the company."
In terms of operations, JetGlobe employs six aircraft of which five - a Learjet 60XR, a Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000, two Bombardier Aerospace Challenger 604s and a Global Express are based out of Istanbul Atatürk while a second LR60XR is based out of Ankara Esenboga.
