K2 Airways (KTA, Karachi International) has announced plans to commence revenue operations in May of this year, a company statement has said.
Based out of Karachi International, the start-up will offer commuter passenger services around Pakistan using unspecified turboprops but potentially Dash 8-400s.
Having secured its Operator's Licence (OL) from the Pakistani government last year, K2 Airways is believed to be in the process of securing its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).
K2 Airways has previously highlighted that it intends to operate charter and cargo flights initially before venturing into scheduled domestic and international passenger flights.
