MIAT - Mongolian Airlines (OM, Ulaanbaatar) has secured one B787-9 on longterm lease from Air Lease Corporation. According to an airline press release, the widebody jet will deliver in 2021 and will be used to launch the Mongolian carrier's inaugural flights to the United States.
In terms of configuration, it will feature a total of 313 seats including 16 in business class, 21 in premium economy, and 276 in economy.
According to ch-aviation fleets, MIAT operates two B767-300(ER)s (both owned) and four B737-800s (leased from each of ALC Blarney Aircraft, Avolon, Macquarie AirFinance, and Wings Capital Partners). A single B737-8, which is grounded, is also leased from Avolon.
