North American Airlines (New York JFK) and World Airways (1948) (Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) parent Global Aviation Holdings has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on February 5 and plans to restructure and reemerge from bankruptcy with smaller fleets for both carriers.
