Brazilian industrial, logistics, and energy conglomerate Imetame Group (Vitória Goiabeiras) added an ATR72-600 turboprop as a corporate aircraft, transaction broker AELIS Group said in a press release.
PR-PFD (msn 1235), a 4.7-year-old ex-Firefly (FY, Penang) unit was delivered from Kuala Lumpur Subang via Bengaluru International, Al Ain, Cairo International, Malta International, Gran Canaria, Sal Amilcar Cabral International, and Recife to Vitória Goiabeiras over the course of October 2-6, 2019, Skyliner Aviation has reported. The ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop subsequently started regular operations on October 23, according to Flightradar24 ADS-B data.
"We are happy to upgrade our fleet with an ATR72-600 series, the outstanding leading aircraft in the 70-seat segment and take advantage of the latest technology innovations to improve our services and reduce our ecological footprint," Managing Director of Imetame Group Gilson Pereira said.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Imetame Group previously operated an ATR72-200 for its internal transportation. 24.7-year-old PR-AZT (msn 450) is currently stored.
For its part, Firefly once operated nine ATR72-600s. It retired the type in 2016. Of the nine units, three are currently operated by NAM Air (IN, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta), one by Imetame Group, one by Amelia International (NL, Ljubljana), one by Travira Air (TVV, Jakarta Halim), and three are stored (one each at Singapore Seletar, Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski, and Mönchengladbach airports).
