K-Mile Asia (8K, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) is planning to add a B737-800(F) dedicated freighter in time for the March 2021 launch of operations on behalf of DHL Express in South-East Asia, Cargo Facts has reported.
The Thai carrier will operate services between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Hanoi Noi Bai International, and Hong Kong International on behalf of the logistics firm.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, K-Mile Air currently operates one B737-400(F) and two B737-400(SF)s on behalf of DHL Express, deploying the three Boeing narrowbodies out of Bangkok to Phnom Penh, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta, Singapore Changi, Hanoi, Yangon, Vientiane, and Hong Kong.
The Thai cargo specialist is 45% owned by ASL Aviation Holdings (through ASL Airlines Switzerland) and will likely take one of its converted B737-800(BCF)s. The Irish group announced a commitment for ten units of the type in 2019. Three of the first B737-800s are already undergoing conversion at Jinan airport in China.

iAero Airways (WQ, Greensboro Piedmont Triad International) operates the only two B737-800(BDSF)s that ply routes for DHL out of a global fleet of over 250 aircraft operated on its behalf by over 40 carriers, the ch-aviation fleets module shows.
K-Mile Air is the only active cargo specialist in Thailand. No other airline in the country operates dedicated freighters.
