Uzbekistan Airways (HY, Tashkent International) has taken delivery of its first A321-200NX(LR) with UK32101 (msn 10607) having been ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Tashkent International on February 14. The jet is the first of five A320neo Family jets that will deliver to the state-owned airline this year, the Uzbek transport ministry said in a statement.

Featuring 16 seats in business class and 172 seats in economy class, the CFM International LEAP-1A-powered jets will be deployed on both domestic and international routes.

"We will continue to modernize our fleet using the new version of the long-range A321neo. [They] will fly to 22 cities in Europe, America, the Middle East, Asia, and 24 cities CIS countries, as well as on 11 domestic routes," said Ilhom Mahkamov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways.

Uzbekistan Airways also operates three A320-200Ns alongside three A320-200s in terms of its existing Airbus fleet. In terms of Boeing, it operates two B757-200s, seven B767-300ERs, two B767-300ER(BCF)s, and seven B787-8s.
