Virtual carrier Taos Air says it has switched its production carrier from Advanced Air (AN, Hawthorne) to JSX Air (XE, Dallas Love Field).
"Taos Air's convenient, hassle-free, and non-commercial travel experience will continue with JSX Air as the operator, featuring the use of 30-passenger jets, private terminals, and the ability to check-in just 20 minutes before departure," it said in a statement.
JSX Air's internet booking engine shows flights will resume on December 15 connecting the New Mexico ski resort of Taos to Austin-Bergstrom International (4-5x weekly), Burbank (3-5x weekly), Dallas Love Field (3-5x weekly), and San Diego International (2-5x weekly). Seasonal flights will end on April 3, 2022.
JSX Air will use its E135s and E145s on the route. Flights will be operated from private terminals at all airports.
In previous winters, Advanced Air ran services to Taos using two Do328-300s owned by Taos Ski Valley, the virtual carrier's parent company. Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows the duo continued to operate Advanced Air charter flights beyond the end of the winter-only scheduled flights to Taos. N192T (msn 3173) has been parked at Hawthorne since August 2022, but sistership N192TS (msn 3214) remains active on charter flights in California and the southwestern US.
Neither Taos Air nor Advanced Air responded to ch-aviation's request for comment on the future of the Do328s.
