Lufthansa CityLine (CL, Munich) could replace its fleet of twenty CRJ700 regional jets with larger aircraft as part of parent Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) plans to change its regional operations. Lufthansa has already announced plans to remove all 70-seat turboprops from its operations by ending its wet-lease agreement with Augsburg Airways (Munich) in general and retiring the ATR72-500s at subsidiary Air Dolomiti (EN, Verona). It is now also studying the potential replacement of CityLine's CRJ-700s by additional larger regional jets.
