Medallion Air (Bucharest Baneasa) has allegedly gone into bankruptcy after "several partners and employees" submitted their resignations over purported "abuses at the managerial level". According to a report on FlightGlobal, the Romanian carrier, which no longer has any aircraft after its operating licence was suspended, has made attempts at finding an investor willing to take over the airline's debts, estimated at EUR3million according to a report by Romania's Daily Business. Medallion was recently taken to court by MRO specialists, RomAero, over an unpaid debt of EUR112'000 (RON490'965). Medallion Air owner, Mirica Dimitrescu, also oversaw JARO International (Bucharest Baneasa) and Jetran Air (Bucharest Baneasa) in the past. Medallion's last MD-83 (msn 49808) now seems to be operated by Romanian charter carrier Ten Airways (Bucharest Baneasa).
