Nordic Air Sweden (Umeå) has suspended its scheduled operations with immediate effect blaming a lack of market base. As previously reported, the Swedish operator had planned to lease an Airbus A320-200 but could not secure enough passengers to render the deal viable. According to TravelNews.se, the airline is also facing a SEK500'000 (USD76'765) fine from the Swedish consumer-rights watchdog over the its continued marketing of itself as an airline when in fact it owns neither aircraft nor an AOC for that matter.
