KlasJet (KLJ, Vilnius) has launched operations after it secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Lithuanian civil aviation authority (Civilinės Aviacijos Administracija - CAA) late last month.
"The fact that our first 3-hour long commercial flight comes right after the receipt of the AOC proves the growing demand for VIP charters in the region. I am glad to share that our first passengers fully enjoyed their flight, conducted in one of our uniquely designed business jets - Bombardier Challenger 850," the airline's CEO, Vitalij Kapitonov, said.
The start-up, which specializes in private and corporate VIP charter flights, also operates a CRJ200. In the long-term, it plans to operate up to 10 corporate jets, including Embraer Legacy and Hawker 900XP aircraft.
