Trans Air Congo - TAC (Q8, Pointe Noire) will add its first Airbus aircraft to its fleet of Boeing 737-200/-300 aircraft this year. In a statement issued via social media, the Congolese carrier said it would take delivery of its first A319-100 during the course of this year. It did not specify the number of aircraft or when they would enter service precisely.

As previously reported, TAC's fleet of B737-200s and B737-300s is expected to resume international services after the carrier's full Air Operators Certificate (AOC) was recently reinstated by the Republic of Congo's civil aviation authority (Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile du Congo - ANAC). It will then stop using a wet-leased DC-9-30 from Global Aviation Operations (GE, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo).
