VLM Airlines (Antwerp) (Antwerp) has assumed the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium (Brussels National) the Belgian Ministry of Mobility (SPF Mobilité) has confirmed.
According to an airline statement, the SPF Mobilité said that VLM has now been given the green light to operate the two ex-TCAB A320-200s - OO-TCT (msn 1402) and OO-TCX (msn 1381) - that Dutch parent firm SHS Aviation B.V. acquired earlier this year. As of this month, both have already been deployed into service on charter flights from Brussels National to Eskisehir Anadolu in Turkey.
According to the regulator, VLM has also been given the go-ahead to add its Fokker 50s to its operations specifications. The SPF Mobilité had earlier said that "there were still some points that must be closed/clarified" before it could do so.
