Red Wings Airlines (WZ, Moscow Domodedovo) has ended Tu-204 flight operations following the withdrawal from service of its last active aircraft of the type on October 17.
According to Skyliner Aviation, RA-64049 (msn 1450744864049) was ferried from Moscow Domodedovo to Mineralnye Vody for longterm storage on November 17. Airline chief executive Evgeny Klyucharev has since confirmed to ch-aviation that the type has indeed been retired from service outright.
With the Tupolevs now gone, the Russian carrier's overall fleet consists entirely of Airbus narrowbodies namely four A320-200s and eight A321-200s.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the only remaining commercial passenger carriers to operate the Tupolev Design Bureau twinjet include Air Koryo, Cubana, Business Aero, RusJet, and Russair.
