Global Reach Aviation (GAV, Billund) has secured its first CRJ900, an aircraft nearly double the capacity of the virtual business charter specialist's existing fleet of CRJ200s.
The carrier said in a statement the jet, which is ex-Lufthansa CityLine (CL, Munich) stock, will be registered as OY-MIT presumably under its technical partner Copenhagen AirTaxi's AOC. It did not disclose its serial number. As of June 15, 2021, the aircraft has yet to be added to the Danish aircraft register.
Global Reach Aviation expects to begin commercial operations of the 86-seat aircraft by the end of July 2021. Global Reach and Copenhagen AirTaxi announced in early 2020 that they would share the latter's Danish AOC. Prior to that, Global Reach Aviation had its own German AOC.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Global Reach Aviation's existing fleet comprises two CRJ200LRs, both operated using Copenhagen AirTaxi's AOC. Copenhagen AirTaxi also operates two B737-400s chartered to its newly launched leisure subsidiary, Airseven, a single BN-2 used for scheduled flights from Copenhagen Kastrup to Laesø, and a fleet of PC-12s and smaller aircraft used for air taxi and flight training.
