Charter specialist Travira Air (TVV, Jakarta Halim) has added its first home-based DHC-6-400 amphibian to its fleet, the ch-aviation fleets module reveals.
PK-TVP (msn 988) is currently based at Praya Lombok International, according to Flightradar24 ADS-B data. The company-owned aircraft was put into commercial service on October 30 last year, according to ch-aviation data.
The Indonesian air service operator and maintenance services provider is using the amphibian on a dedicated contract for the mining sector, providing long-term charter services to Bali and Sumbawa, business development and commercial executive, Muhammad Ihsan Salim, told Smart Aviation Asia Pacific. The Batu Hijau open-pit copper-gold mine is situated on Sumbawa, which is located to the east of the more well-known Lombok island.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the rest of the carrier's fleet comprises one ATR42-600 and two ATR72-600s. It also includes one Beech 1900D, one Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 300, two Cessna (single turboprop) Caravan 208As and various other light jets and helicopters.
