AirExplore (ED, Bratislava) took delivery of its first first dedicated freighter, a B737-800(BCF), on August 25, 2022.
OM-EDA (msn 33719) was ferried post-conversion from Jinan via Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev to IATA!QLA over the course of August 12-13, and then to Bratislava on August 25. It now features the full livery of charter customer RDS Cargo Group. The ch-aviation fleets module shows the 19.4-year-old jet was previously operated in passenger configuration by Ryanair and ASL Airlines Ireland, is owned by Nomura Babcock & Brown, and managed by BBAM.
OM-EDA joins Air Explore's fleet of eight passenger B737-800s. It will also be RDS Cargo Group's first freighter charter as until now, the Dubai-based cargo forwarder had had to source capacity from various airlines on an ad-hoc basis.
