Jet-A has applied for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to provide on-demand, single-entity interstate charter services using an executive-configured E190.

The New Jersey-registered Part 135 air taxi operator is currently engaged in on-demand, single-entity charter services, managing a small fleet of one Hawker 125 (BAe 125-800A), two Challenger 600/601/604s, and one Hawker 800XP private jet, according to its August 29, 2022, application to the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Jet-A says it has carefully studied the market for on-demand services in executive-configured jets similar in size to the E190 and concluded that the market is under-served by other operators. It reports numerous expressions of interest for such services from potential customers and requests authority to ferry persons, property, and mail.

Jet-A is solely owned by Shearson International Corp., a California corporation owned by Jet-A manager Ronald Boros, who also controls 100% of the voting rights of Jet-A. All aircraft are wholly or partly owned through entities in which parent Jet Access Group (Boros) holds interests. Boros also owns the E190-100, N111NH (msn 19000111), to be dry-leased to Jet-A.

The company anticipates commencing operations with the E190 as soon as the DOT has approved its application. Comments to the DOT may be submitted from November 28, 2022.
