Eagle Airways (Hamilton, NZ) has temporarily grounded its entire fleet of 19 Beech 1900Ds for maintenance checks following hairline cracks found in the tails of several of its aircraft earlier this week. It has since again resumed operations with 5 aircraft that have passed the checks without any cracks being found and rescheduled its other operations on behalf of parent Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland International) trying to get passengers to their destinations by combining flights and using other aircraft wet-leased from Air New Zealand Link carriers Air Nelson (Nelson, NZ) and Mount Cook Airline (Christchurch).
