DAS Private Jets (DWW, Mengen Hohentengen) has retired its sole Citation Jet 3, as revealed by ch-aviation research. The aircraft, now registered in Australia, is the first of its type to be operated by Aero Corporate Charters.
D-CUBA (msn 525B-0169) was actively operating under DAS Private Jets' 'DWW' code until August 4, 2024, when it flew from Linz Blue Danube to Zurich. During September 2024, the aircraft completed three test flights in Switzerland before being re-registered as VH-ACC. The jet was then ferried to Australia on October 8, 2024, arriving in Broome two days later after making stops at Alexandria Borg el Arab, Al Ain, Chennai, and Singapore Seletar. It subsequently flew to Orange, NS, and the following day to Sydney Bankstown, where it has remained parked since October 11, 2024. At 17.2 years old, it retained its German registration throughout its entire operational life until now.
DAS Private Jets specialises in private jet services, including charter flights, cargo flights, and aircraft management. Following this retirement, the Germany-based operator's fleet now comprises five aircraft, including one Bombardier Business Aircraft Challenger 300, one Citation XLS+, two Phenom 300s, and one Phenom 300E.
Citation Jet 3 VH-ACC is the second jet added by Aero Corporate Charters, following the recent induction of a Dassault Aviation Falcon 900EX. Both aircraft are owned by Australian Country Choice Properties, a subsidiary of Australian Country Choice, a Queensland-based company engaged in cattle, food, and beef processing. In addition to these jets, Aero Corporate Charters operates a Cessna (single piston) C182Q which is owned by another subsidiary of Australian Country Choice. Notably, Australian Country Choice previously owned a Citation Encore and a Citation Latitude that shared the same registration as the newly added Citation Jet 3.
