Prima Air (United States of America) (Burbank) has added a first Global 5000 for charter, incorporating it under the Part 135 certificate of Pegasus Elite Aviation (Van Nuys), a subsidiary it acquired in January 2023. Although the aircraft has been owned by Prima Air since April 2022, it has only now been made available for on-demand services.

The 18-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft, N889PG (msn 9226) is capable of seating up to 13 passengers. Originally registered in the United Arab Emirates, it later moved to the United States and then to Australia, where it operated prior to its acquisition by Prima Air.

The company revealed that this is the world’s first Global 5000 equipped with Starlink wi-fi, an installation carried out in partnership with Starlink and Thornton Aviation. The aircraft underwent an STC certification process and a Part 135 conformity inspection with the US FAA to ensure it meets the requirements to operate with the integrated Starlink system.

Prima Air's charter fleet now consists of 12 aircraft, namely one G550, one G650, one G650ER, one GIV, three GIV-SPs, three GVs, one Global 5000, and one Learjet 60SE. The firm specialises in private jet charters, aircraft management, acquisitions and sales, and maintenance, all offered under the Pegasus Elite Aviation brand, which holds a Part 135 certificate for commercial operations.
