German Sky Airlines (Düsseldorf) has announced that it has temporarily suspended all operations effective December 1. The German subsidiary of Turkish charter carrier Sky Airlines (Antalya) had launched operations in 2004 and has operated with a fleet of two B737-800s that are now parked at Cologne/Bonn and will be returned to the lessors. German Sky plans to resume operations next summer with other aircraft and has laid off some of its staff because of its temporary suspension of operations. It had mainly operated charter services from Germany to Egypt and Spain.
