Windrose Air Jetcharter (QGA, Berlin Brandenburg) has added a Phenom 100EV to its air operator's certificate and is preparing to induct a Citation Jet 2, the company confirmed to ch-aviation. The additions mark the resumption of operations for both types after a five- and two-year gap, respectively.
The Phenom 100EV, D-IHCR (msn 50000450), is a 2024-built aircraft delivered between July 19 and 21, 2024. It was ferried from Melbourne Essendon to Schönhagen, where it is based, with stops at Norfolk International, VA, Bangor International, Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik Keflavik, and Inverness. Initially operated privately, the jet has now been added to Windrose Air's AOC. The company previously operated a Phenom 100E between 2016 and 2020.
Windrose Air is also in the process of adding Citation Jet 2 D-IBET (msn 525A-0229) to its AOC. The 19.8-year-old aircraft, configured for up to seven passengers, was previously operated by ProAir Aviation and based at Berlin Brandenburg. ProAir Aviation continues to operate another Citation Jet 2 alongside ten Citation Jet 2+. Windrose Air operated five Citation Jet 2s and a Citation Jet 2+ in the past, retiring them by 2022.
With these additions, Windrose Air's Embraer Executive Jets fleet now includes the newly inducted Phenom 100EV and a Praetor 600, which is not available for charter. The Citation Jet 2 will join a Citation Jet 4 and a Citation XLS+ in the company's charter fleet. Windrose Air also operates two Challenger 300s, a Global Express XRS (exclusively managed and stored at Istanbul Atatürk since 2022), and a Pilatus PC-24.
