Mid South Jets (Memphis International) has added a first Citation Jet 3+ to its Part 135-certified fleet. The operator also ceased Learjet charter operations following the retirement of a Learjet 45XR, ch-aviation research shows.
The Citation Jet 3+, N901GC (msn 525B-0729), was delivered on August 29, 2024, from the production facilities of Textron Aviation at Wichita Eisenhower to Memphis International, where it is based. Initially exclusively managed by Mid South Jets, the aircraft has now been added to the company’s charter fleet.
Concurrently, Mid South Jets phased out Learjet 45XR N32AA (msn 45-399). The 16.1-year-old aircraft, configured for up to nine passengers, was also based at Memphis International, where it operated for the last time on July 18, 2024, flying to Houston Intercontinental. Since then, it has been based at Detroit Willow Run. The company had previously operated other Learjet types including the Learjet 40XR, the Learjet 45, the Learjet 60XR, and the Learjet 75.
Following these updates, Mid South Jets' charter fleet includes a Challenger 350, a Challenger 3500, the newly added Citation Jet 3+, and a Citation Latitude.
