LAC - Línea Aérea Cuencana (Cuenca) seems to be finally getting closer to receiving an air operator certificate in Ecuador according to a news report by Ecuadorian news portal Hoy. LAC is currently conducting proving flights with its only aircraft, ex-Indycar Aviation (Indianapolis International) CRJ700 HC-CMY (c/n 10004) it has already taken delivery of last summer. It reportedly also plans to add two CRJ900s to its fleet ahead of its planned launch of domestic services in Ecuador.
