LAC - Línea Aérea Cuencana (Cuenca) is, at last, set to take to the skies on Monday, May 13 using its sole CRJ700, HC-CMY (c/n 10004). Using an initial investment of USD35million, LAC's owners - businessmen Carlos Torres, Luis Miguel and Victor Hugo Astudillo - plan to initially launch flights out of Cuenca to Quito International, Guayaquil, Loja and Latacunga. With the arrival of a second aircraft due in the next six months, further operations are planned to Macas and Manta International.
