Cambodia Airlines (Phnom Penh) and its Filipino partner, San Miguel Corporation, are planning a USD1.5billion maiden fleeting program to be undertaken over the next two years. According to the Philippines Business Inquirer "about 16 to 22 aircraft would likely be deployed by Cambodia Airlines within the next two years," though did not expand on the type or make of the aircraft involved. As part of plans to get it established, the nascent Cambodian airline will also sign a codeshare deal with Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International). Tentative airline start up plans had called for a June launch using Dash 8-400s for domestic routes and an October launch for regional flights using Airbus A321-200s, though these still remain unconfirmed at this time.
