Aerospace One (Châteauroux Déols Marcel Dassault) is to be officially launched at the Air Cargo Europe 2013 Expo in June, despite having already commenced operations in April between Sharjah and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta. According to founder Jaideep Mirchandani, who is also the chairman of Veteran Avia (Yerevan), in addition to its current sole ex-Rayyan Air (Islamabad Benazir Bhutto International) B747-200(F), the airline plans to add more 747-200(F)s and B747-400(F)s to its fleet while specializing in the transport of heavy loads and ACMI leasing. In terms of its network, Mr Mirchandani said the carrier would initially focus on providing links between Asia and South America while using Europe as an intermediate hub. Charter inquiries and contract arrangements will be handled by UK-based air charter specialist, Chartersphere.
