PAL Airlines (Santiago de Chile) resumed normal operations on Monday, June 11, after the Chilean civil aviation authority (Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil - DGAC) reinstated its Air Operator's Certificate.
Following a thorough inspection of the airline's facilities at Santiago de Chile, the DGAC allowed the carrier to return its B737-300, CC-AIT (msn 28554), to revenue service. A second aircraft will also be returned to active duty ferrying football fans to the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
