Jazz Air (QK, Halifax) has taken delivery of its first two CRJ900s following the arrival of C-FJZD (msn 15420) and C-FJZL (msn 15421) in Halifax last week.
The aircraft are part of a firm order for five Chorus Aviation placed with Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) in April last year which also included purchase rights for an additional five CRJ-900 aircraft.
The agreement also provided for the reconfiguration of Jazz Air's sixteen CRJ705s into CRJ-900 aircraft with 76 seats.
Jazz Air operates Air Canada Express services throughout Canada for and on behalf of Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau). Aside from the CRJ-900s and -705s, it also employs fourteen CRJ200s, twenty-one Dash 8-100s, twenty-eight Dash 8-300s, and thirty-nine Dash 8-400s.
