Business aviation group Luxaviation (LXA, Luxembourg) has launched a dedicated helicopter division. In a press statement, the Luxembourg-based conglomerate announced that Luxaviation Helicopters (Luxembourg) will look after all helicopter management across Luxaviation's regional divisions.
Launching in spring 2017, the new business will manage VIP and VVIP helicopters for private and business clients.
"Luxaviation Helicopters will bring the luxury service standards of business jets into the helicopter world," Luxaviation Helicopters CEO Charlotte Pedersen said. "Helicopter management is a natural complement to the services which the Luxaviation Group already provides and we see significant potential in this area."
Luxaviation manages more than 250 fixed-wing aircraft and twenty helicopters in its operations across Europe, Asia, Australasia, Africa the Middle East and Latin America. Since 2011, it has made a number of strategic acquisitions, purchasing Germany's Fairjets, Benelux's Abelag Aviation, French Unijet, London Executive Aviation, Masterjet and Swiss ExecuJet Aviation Group. This last acquisition made them the second-largest corporate aircraft operator in the world. The various arms now operate as: Luxaviation Belgium, Luxaviation France, Luxaviation Germany, Luxaviation Portugal, and Luxaviation UK.
